Argentina Texas Chamber of Commerce


According to an article of the prestigious New York Times, the US president will “work to capitalize on the United States’ significantly strengthened position in the Americas — including his normalization with Cuba, supporting the pursuit of peace and security in Colombia, and engaging new leaders like the new president of Argentina, where the recent election of President Mauricio Macri promises far better relations between the two Western powers.”


A New Record — Houston hit a milestone in October, surpassing 3.0 million jobs for the first time in the region’s history. Over the past 40 years, the region has hit a series of milestones—1.0 million jobs in July ’75, 1.5 million jobs in March of ’80, and 2.0 million jobs in February of ’97.


The representatives of the Congress Foreign Affair Committee proposed to revitalize the bilateral relationship through a formal letter to the US President.


After 20 years, US Chamber of Commerce Representatives visited Argentina to meet the main Argentinian businessmen, chambers, organizations and politicians. The US Chamber of Commerce includes 3 million of US firms and represents 80% of the US investments in the country.


A delegation from the United States House of Representatives traveled to Argentina from November 7 - 9, 2015. The delegation was led by Marsha Blackburn, a Republican from Tennessee and Vice Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The delegation also visited Brazil and Chile. During the visit, the delegation met with members of the business community, representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce, members of the Argentine Congress, officials from the City of Buenos Aires, and personnel from the United States Embassy.
