After 20 years, US Chamber of Commerce Representatives visited Argentina to meet the main Argentinian businessmen, chambers, organizations and politicians. The US Chamber of Commerce includes 3 million of US firms and represents 80% of the US investments in the country.

 

A delegation from the United States House of Representatives traveled to Argentina from November 7 - 9, 2015. The delegation was led by Marsha Blackburn, a Republican from Tennessee and Vice Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The delegation also visited Brazil and Chile. During the visit, the delegation met with members of the business community, representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce, members of the Argentine Congress, officials from the City of Buenos Aires, and personnel from the United States Embassy.

 

US is largest foreign investor in Argentina. The total investment in 2013 was $15.2 billions through 500 companies concentrated in energy, manufacturing, information technology, and finance employing 360,000 Argentines directly. Sales of services in Argentina by majority U.S.-owned affiliates were $8.1 billion in 2011 (latest data available).

Argentina foreign direct investment in the United States was $209 in 2012. Sales of services in the United States by majority Argentina-owned firms were $49 million.
